The Board of Directors at Make A Difference is proud to share with our donors and well-wishers that today, April 13, 2020, we delivered $2,000 worth of food to a pantry. The Board approved $5,000 toward meeting the desperate needs for food in communities with disadvantaged school children. The Board will continue to evaluate the shifting demands for food and allocate more resources as needed. Your donations have made a difference in the lives of many children and their families in this distressing time. Thank you!
This pantry caters to children who attend Greenville schools and their families who are in dire need of food. One of our Board members, Ms. Alka Patel, personally shopped for the food at Sam’s Club and worked with her staff who helped to deliver the food to the pantry. Board members and several community members also donated generously to this initiative. We are grateful to each and every one of you.
We have a lot to be proud of, even as we realize that there is so much more to be done. Recent events have challenged each and every one of us to reflect on our lifestyles, beliefs, and our interconnectedness. As we count our blessings, we are aware of the opportunity to become a blessing to our brothers and sisters.
Ken Arnold, Director of Attendance & Social Work
Here is what one social worker had to say about our donation: Thank you so so much for all the food Make A Difference brought to our pantry today. Please extend our thank you to Mrs. Patel for shopping at Sam’s Club and bringing the food and helpers with her. Our pantry is looking totally different today. You are a great blessing to us!
